Jets Need Extra Frames to Get Past Expos
|
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Kennesaw Jets got the win.
In a low-scoring tilt between the Kennesaw Jets and the Niagara Falls Expos, Jules Goux was the difference-maker. The Kennesaw left-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-2 win. Eduardo Flores, credited with the win, is now 2-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings.
Late-game drama came in the top of the 18th inning. With one out and a runner on 1st, the batter, Joam Francia, hit a single. It helped Kennesaw seize the win.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Francia told the Kennesaw News.
The Jets improved to a lofty 53-13.
