Plainsmen Win at Washington, 3-1
|
Washington Park was the site of a tense game between the Washington Generals and Nebraska Plainsmen.
The Nebraska Plainsmen got a magnificent performance from pitcher Seung-soo Yi, who muffled the Washington offense en route to a tight 3-1 Plainsmen win at Washington Park. The winning pitcher was Yi, now 2-2. He tossed 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. Morton Steele earned save number 14.
Martin Dalling aided the Nebraska cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth. For the game, the third baseman went 2-4 with a double.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Dalling. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
The Generals, now 22-30, have lost 9 in a row.
