The Niagara Falls Expos stymied the Mancelona Torch, 3-0, at Waterfall Park. Dale Doney, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He went 3 for 3 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Niagara Falls. Nino Ghannam was the winning pitcher. Over 5.1 innings, he allowed no runs on 3 hits, with 3 walks and 4 strikeouts. Tung-chi Ran earned the save for Niagara Falls, his 10th.
Early in the game, Doney had a 2-run home run for Niagara Falls. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Expos on top, 2-0.
