The Connetquot Chiefs got a superb performance from pitcher John Bennett. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Kennesaw. The Jets won the game, 3-2. In spite of the loss, Bennett was named the player of the game. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball. Earning his 9th save of the year was Bill Tench. Kennesaw leads the Silver A by 4 games.
Joam Francia had the most critical at-bat for Kennesaw. With two in the top of the ninth inning, Francia hit a 3-1 fastball from Lloyd Natoff for a 2-run single. It put Kennesaw in front, 3-2.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Francia said.
