Chukars Prevail, 6-4, Over Athletic Club KC
|
Despite a fine performance by designated hitter Jon Hall, the Athletic Club KC U-24 suffered a 6-4 loss to the Idaho Falls Chukars. Hall went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Idaho Falls is now 13-22, Athletic Club KC 17-18.
Hsui-chuan Hong went 1 for 5 with a double for Idaho Falls. The 21-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Ben Walker. It was his 10th RBI of the season.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Hong said.
