Generals Prevail, 2-0, Over Niagara Falls
|
Juan Carbajal never let Niagara Falls get something going. The Washington right-hander commanded his sinker in pitching the Generals to a 2-0 win. Washington reliever Juan Carbajal was credited with the win, to go to 4-2. Nino Ghannam took the loss for Niagara Falls. The slumping Expos have lost 9 straight.
Washington grabbed control in the top of the sixth. With two out and a runner on 2nd, Dan Vanblarcom delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 1-0 in favor of the Generals.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Vanblarcom.
