Plainsmen Shut Out Expos
The Nebraska Plainsmen faced a tough opponent in Niagara Falls pitcher Miguel Longoria, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Waterfall Park by a final score of 3-0. Longoria went 7 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. The win was credited to Esteban Allucingoli in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Miguel Longoria took the loss. Morton Steele closed the game out for Nebraska, earning his 4th save.

Zhong-yan Zha went 1 for 3 for Nebraska. The 21-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Miguel Longoria. It was his 3rd RBI of the season.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Zha said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

Nebraska currently is in 6th place in the Silver A at 11-14.
