The Washington Generals and Connetquot Chiefs brought some excitement to Washington Park.
Connetquot right fielder Jurg Ursin had 4 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Washington Generals, 7-1. Teok-kyu Ch'oe earned the save, his 2nd, for the Chiefs.
One important at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the seventh inning. Facing Washington hurler Abdel Bellec, John Shultz, who is tied for 4th in the SA in stolen bases with 7, hit a run-scoring double. The Chiefs went on to win.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Ursin told the Connetquot Chronicle. "It's as simple as that."
Connetquot, at 16-7, occupies second place in the Silver A.
