The Columbia River Rats did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Connetquot Chiefs at The Big Teepee. Nobody did more than pitcher Harry Stuterberg, who captured player of the game honors. Kit Scheetz got credit for the save for Columbia. It was his 10th of the year. Columbia is now 12-8.

The River Rats beat the Chiefs with some clutch hitting. The double by Tyler Bowen in the top of the third is a good example. With two down, Bowen gave his team the lead, 3-1, when he came through with the big hit.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Stuterberg said.
