River Rats Stymie Washington, Take 2-0 Win
|
It was a fun time at Columbia Stadium, where the Washington Generals and Columbia River Rats tangled.
Bo Zhào pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Washington Generals, despite Zhào's fine outing, dropped a 2-0 decision to the Columbia River Rats at Columbia Stadium. Columbia, now 10-6, has gotten their season off to a good start.
The River Rats got a big at-bat from first baseman Tyler Bowen. For the game, Bowen went 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 4th double of the season gave Columbia a 2-0 lead.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Bowen, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
