The Connetquot Chiefs got a strong performance from pitcher David Watkins, who stymied the Niagara Falls offense en route to a 5-1 win at The Big Teepee. David Robinson closed the game out for Connetquot, earning his 1st save. The Chiefs keep rolling, raising their record to 3-1.

The Chiefs got a big at-bat from first baseman Héctor Amaya. For the game, Amaya went 1-4, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 5th hit of the season gave Connetquot a 3-1 lead.

"This is truly a great team to play with," Amaya said after the game. "We're like brothers, and when we come together to pull out the win, that just makes it all the better."
