Reapers Get Road Win, 6-4
|
Grim first baseman Semo Hoaloha was instrumental in his team's 6-4 win over the Syracuse Storm. Hoaloha, who is tied for 10th in the 3A in triples with 4, went 3-5 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Reapers. Al Turner was the winning pitcher. Over 7 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 4 hits, with 1 walk and 2 strikeouts. Chet Gustafson converted his 2nd save in 5 tries.
Hoaloha had a key at-bat for Grim early in the game. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 2-run double. It was his 36th double of the season and gave Grim an early 2-0 lead.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Hoaloha. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
The 'W' lifts Grim's record to 48-42.
