Caterpillars Shut Out Reapers
|
The Grand Forks Caterpillars got a strong performance from pitcher Albert Karlier, who stymied the Grim offense en route to a 2-0 win at The Cocoon. In 5.2 innings, Karlier surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. Alberto Ortíz got the save, his 3rd in 4 chances.
Noel Peterson was a key contributor to the win for the Caterpillars. In the bottom of the fourth with two out, the light-hitting designated hitter stroked a single to right. He went 1-3.
"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Peterson told the Grand Forks Times.
The Caterpillars bumped their record to 51-36 with this latest triumph.
