The York Revolution got a stellar performance from pitcher Gary Wilson, who handcuffed the Syracuse offense en route to a 3-2 win at York Park. The winning pitcher was Wilson, now 3-1. He tossed 9 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6. The Revolution own a robust 57-27 mark.
Juan Mateo was the walk-off hero for York. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Revolution right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This was a good win for us," said Mateo. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."
