Victory Over Seahawks Takes York to 47-24
|
York pitcher Gary Ashley did his part in helping his team beat the Myrtle Beach Seahawks, 6-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Marcos Mesorana was credited with the save for York, his 1st of the season. York improves to 47-24 with the win. They lead their division by 3 games.
Tome Uso went 1 for 4 for York. The 22-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring single off Gunnar Hoglund. It was his 54th hit of the season.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Uso said after the game.
