Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Seahawks
|
Myrtle Beach left-hander Chris Whitfield helped his team edge Syracuse by the score of 3-2. Whitfield kept the opposing lineup in check. Hai-dong Lang got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. The Seahawks' win now puts them at 31-34.
Late-game drama came in the bottom of the ninth inning. With no one out and the bases empty, the batter, Faradur Umrani, hit a single. It helped Myrtle Beach seize the win.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Myrtle Beach manager Philippe Parmentier.
