Fans who came to Hawks Field watched the Highwood Hawks and the Syracuse Storm fight to the finish.

The Highwood Hawks did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Syracuse Storm at Hawks Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Josh Terry, who captured player of the game honors. Highwood now sits at 23-27, while Syracuse falls to 24-26.

Terry was in the zone all game. He frustrated Syracuse hitters while giving the Hawks 8 innings of quality work. Terry threw 94 pitches, allowing 3 hits and getting 8 punchouts.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Terry told reporters after the game.
