Bulls Topple Reapers with Late Rally
|
The Grim Reapers got a superb performance from pitcher Kabeya Kasongo, but the Belleville Bulls still won the game, 5-4. Kasongo was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball. Belleville is now 17-23.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Belleville first baseman Júlio Moreno, facing Jerry Magee, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Bulls the 5-4 win.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Moreno told a Belleville Today reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
