Revolution Sneak Past Bulls, 3-2

Both teams had their chances, but the York Revolution eventually prevailed at York Park.
York right fielder Travis Towns was instrumental in his team's 3-2 win over the Mt. Vernon Bulls. Towns, who is tied for 10th in the 3A in bases on balls with 19, went 2-4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Revolution. York reliever Aksel Svendsen picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Sam White was saddled with the loss. Júlio Romero earned the save for York, his 8th of the year.
Towns had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-2 cutter from Sam White, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Revolution a 3-2 lead. It was the 8th home run of the year for Towns.
Towns said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
The Revolution improved to a lofty 26-10.
