Dragoons Win at Grim, 8-5
|
The Louisiana Dragoons grabbed a 8-5 win over the Grim Reapers at The Coffin. Louisiana catcher David Martínez was 2 for 3 with a home run, a triple, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 to earn player of the game honors. The Dragoons now own a record of 19-12.
Wallace Belyeu, who is tied for 3rd in the 3A in RBI with 23, aided the Louisiana cause with a 2-run double in the top of the eighth. For the game, the first baseman was 2-3 with 2 doubles and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2.
"Feels good to get the job done," Martínez said after the game.
