The Phoenix Hotspur Youth topped the Reno Silver Sox by the score of 7-4, with the largest share of the credit going to designated hitter Bill Poole. Poole went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Youth. Juan Morán earned the win for Phoenix Hotspur. He lasted 5.2 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 6 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 3-4. Jason MacDonald got the save, the 8th for him this season.
Poole had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the fifth inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Youth went on to win.
