Eclipse Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
|
The Northville Eclipse picked up a win at Tennille Grounds, knocking off the Reno Silver Sox, 4-2. Starting pitcher Alberto Álvarez was an essential part of his team's success. The Eclipse move to 53-42 with the win, while the Silver Sox drop to 48-47.
The most critical at-bat came in the top of the tenth inning. With two out, Raymond Dudzinski hit a 1-1 curveball from Bob Christison for a 2-run single. It put Northville in front, 4-2.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Northville manager Juan Padilla.
