Shooters Topple Eclipse with Late Rally

Springfield and Northville duked it out at Springfield Stadium and the Shooters came out victorious.
The Springfield Shooters did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Northville Eclipse at Springfield Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Robby Oglethorpe, who captured player of the game honors. Springfield reliever Steve Wortley was credited with the win, to go to 2-0. Esteban Rodríguez took the loss for Northville. Mark Zaugg earned the save, his 17th.
Yu-shu Tseng drove in one run for Springfield. The top prospect had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch off Esteban Rodríguez. It was his 56th RBI of the season.
After the game, Springfield manager applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
The Shooters now own a record of 42-51.
