Love Boats Topple Miners with Late Rally
|
A 4-RBI performance from right fielder Juan Ramírez, who was drafted in the three round of the 2032 draft, led the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats to a 7-3 win over the Marquette Miners. Lake Minnetonka reliever Pancho Mastache was the winner. His record is now 5-5. Tupac Blanch took the loss. Today's win puts Lake Minnetonka at 48-44, while Marquette falls to 48-44.
Ramírez had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 0-2 sinker from Félix Santiago, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Love Boats a 7-3 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Ramírez.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Ramírez told the Lake Minnetonka Citizen.
