Screaming Eagles Squelch Silver Sox Offense in Shutout Win
The exploits of center fielder António Ramírez helped the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles defeat the Reno Silver Sox, 4-0. Ramírez was 2 for 4 with a home run. Mercer Island reliever Tim Nesheim was the winner. His record is now 1-1. Dan Fletcher took the loss. Mercer Island is now 44-37. Reno is 42-39.

One of the key players for the Screaming Eagles was third baseman Bart Goodine, who drilled a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning. For the game, Goodine was 1-3, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Ramírez told the Mercer Island Observer.
