Eclipse Get Past Chesapeake for 3-2 Win
|
Both teams had their chances, but the Northville Eclipse eventually prevailed at Old-Timers Park.
Chesapeake got a terrific performance from pitcher Tsu-wee Qi, but it wasn't enough to beat the Northville Eclipse. Northville won the Old-Timers Park contest, 3-2. Qi was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 8 innings of shutout ball. Northville has now won 3 in a row.
The Eclipse were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when first baseman Raymond Dudzinski turned a first pitch changeup from Keith Johnson into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent a roar through the crowd and gave Northville a thrilling 3-2 win.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Dudzinski.
