The Reno Silver Sox beat the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats, 8-2, at Heron Field. Reno second baseman Marvin Overbeek earned player of the game honors. He collected 2 singles and 1 double, while driving in 1 runs. Reno is 6th in the Premier AA with a record of 41-37.
The Silver Sox got a lift from catcher Jong-beom Chang who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the first inning off Isaaka Ienimea. It was his 24th RBI of the season and put Reno in front, 1-0.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Overbeek.
