Screaming Eagles Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Loons
The Minnesota Loons got a sterling performance from pitcher Steve Tedder, but the Screaming Eagles still prevailed, 5-4. Tedder was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 7 innings allowing 2 runs. The save went to Tim Nesheim, his 6th this season. Mercer Island is now 40-35, while Minnesota is 35-40.

Ryoichi Yoshida had a clutch at-bat with one out in the top of the eighth for the Screaming Eagles. Coming up with the bases loaded and Mercer Island trailing 2-1, he hit a bases-clearing double.
