Silver Sox Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Loons
The Reno Silver Sox topped the Minnesota Loons by the score of 6-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to first baseman Marcos Costa. Costa went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles for the Silver Sox on the day. Reno starter Edgardo Salas was credited with the win after throwing 111 pitches over 6.2 innings. His record now stands at 6-5. The win puts the Silver Sox at 36-36, while the Loons drop to 34-38.

Costa had a game-changing double in the bottom of the sixth. On a full count fastball from Ronald Beedy, he banged a run-scoring double to left-center, giving the Silver Sox a 4-3 lead. It was the 9th double of the year for Costa.

"It was a solid team effort," said Costa after the game.
