Multi-HR Game for Yoshida in 6-5 Win
The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles topped the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats by the score of 6-5, with the largest share of the credit going to designated hitter Ryoichi Yoshida. Yoshida went 3-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Screaming Eagles. After today's action, Mercer Island sits at 37-31, while Lake Minnetonka falls to 38-30.

Yoshida contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Mercer Island in the bottom of the eighth. With his team trailing 5-4, Yoshida took a slider from Giuseppe Farina and stroked the home run to left. His 9th home run of the season allowed the Screaming Eagles to leap in front, 6-5.
