Love Boats Jolt Screaming Eagles with Late Rally
|
The Lake Minnetonka Love Boats racked up a win at Mercer Island Grounds, bumping off the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 5-3. Alejandro García, who started for Lake Minnetonka, pitched effectively for his team. Harry Stogsdill was credited with the save for Lake Minnetonka, his 3rd of the season. Lake Minnetonka now owns a record of 38-29.
Michael Sweeney, who is tied for 5th in the PAA in bases on balls with 38, helped out the Lake Minnetonka cause in the top of the eighth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the left fielder was 1 for 3 with a walk.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Sweeney told the Lake Minnetonka Citizen.
