Loons Turn Back Chesapeake, 2-1
|
Minnesota Loons starter Steve Tedder pitched a strong game against the Chesapeake Continentals at Loony Bin, leading the Loons to a 2-1 win. Quan Shiu converted his 6th save in 11 tries. Minnesota occupies 7th place in the Premier AA at 27-32.
Early in the game, shortstop Augusto Manuel had a 2-run home run for Minnesota. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Loons on top, 2-0.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Tedder told the Minnesota Bulletin.
