Shooters Bang Out 7-4 Win Versus Northville
|
The Northville Eclipse got a superb performance from right fielder Xi-ku See-to. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Springfield. The Shooters won the game, 7-4. In spite of the loss, See-to was named the player of the game. He was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 times. The winner was Mike McKay, who threw 91 pitches over 6.2 innings. The left-hander was charged with 4 runs on 9 hits. Mark Zaugg closed it out for his 9th save.
With a runner on 2nd and two out in the top of the third inning, shortstop Yu-shu Tseng delivered big for the Shooters. Springfield was leading 3-1 when he belted a 2-run home run.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Tseng.
The Shooters' win now puts them at 26-32.
