Charlie Fairthorne, credited with the win, is now 2-1. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits in 7 innings. The win puts the Silver Sox at 21-13, while the Shooters drop to 14-20.
Reno relied on the hitting of Marvin Overbeek to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Silver Sox on top, 4-0. For the game, Overbeek had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
