Continentals Suffer 9-5 Loss to Youth
|
Phoenix Hotspur left fielder Phil Mazzeo played a vital role in his team's 9-5 triumph over Chesapeake. He was 4-6 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for Phoenix Hotspur. The Youth' win now puts them at 13-18.
One of the key players for the Youth was catcher Braylen Sampson, who drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning. For the game, Sampson went 2 for 5 with 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Sampson. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
