4-2 Love Boats Win over Sonics Evens Season Record
|
The Lake Minnetonka Love Boats bested the Atlantic City Sonics by a score of 4-2, with third baseman Yoshii Saikawa getting the main credit. On the day, Saikawa went 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Love Boats. Lake Minnetonka reliever Pablo Gómez picked up the win to move to 1-0. Norberto Concepción suffered the loss. Lake Minnetonka is now 11-11.
Saikawa had an important at-bat with runners on 1st and 3rd in the top of the third, when he hit a 2-run double. The Love Boats went on to win.
"We played hard and won," said Saikawa. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
