It was a fun time at Mercer Island Grounds, where the Springfield Shooters and Mercer Island Screaming Eagles tangled.
The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles topped the Springfield Shooters, 7-4, with youngster Terry John playing a key role. John was 2 for 2 with 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch for the Screaming Eagles in the win. Satoshi Ono was the winner. Over 6 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 7 hits, with 1 walk and 2 strikeouts.
Mercer Island center fielder Serious Lee made his contribution to the Screaming Eagles cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the second inning. For the day, Lee was 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
