Continentals Best Loons in Pitching Duel
|
Rafael González pitched well, but the Minnesota Loons still lost the game, falling 2-1 to the Chesapeake Continentals at Chesapeake Grounds. Francisco Díaz earned the save for Chesapeake, his 3rd of the year. The Continentals bumped their record to 12-9 with this latest triumph.
The Continentals got a big at-bat from center fielder Shou-chien Luo. For the game, Luo went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Chesapeake a 2-0 lead.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Luo told reporters after the game.
