Luna, Nobles Beat Fighting Dachsunds, 7-3

Bakersfield played host to Ellenburg at the friendly confines of Jerome Grounds.
With catcher Fernando Luna leading the charge, the Bakersfield Nobles defeated the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds, 7-3, at Jerome Grounds. Luna went 2-2 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Ricardo Gómez, credited with the win, is now 4-3. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings.
Luna contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Bakersfield in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 2-1, Luna took a fastball from Gerald Bolton and stroked the home run to left. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Nobles to leap in front, 4-2.
Luna called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
Bakersfield is now 63-39.
