Golden Cranes Clip Longnecks, 7-6

With left fielder Xu Cheng leading the charge, the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes defeated the Bloomington Longnecks, 7-6, at Crane Field. Cheng, who is tied for 10th in the PAAA with a .502 slugging percentage, was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Nick Riviera, credited with the win, is now 5-3. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.1 innings. Domingo Posadas earned the save for Santa Barbara, his 21st of the year.
Sun-jae Kwak went 1 for 3 with a triple for Santa Barbara. The 24-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Pierre Levegh. It was his 9th RBI of the season.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Bloomington manager . "The effort was great."
Santa Barbara now owns a record of 52-49.
