Supernovas Win at Jersey City, 7-3
|
Jersey City first baseman Shelby Noonan had a good game, even if his team did not. The Tritons dropped a 7-3 decision to Scranton at Jersey City Grounds. Noonan was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Scranton starter Blair Wright was credited with the win after throwing 124 pitches over 7.2 innings. His record now stands at 10-7. Scranton has now won 3 in a row.
Scranton grabbed control in the top of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Senior Pond delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 4-3 in favor of the Supernovas.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Pond.
