The Phoenix Hotspur Reserves beat the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes, 3-2 at Crane Field, in part due to designated hitter Solomon Norment, who nabbed player of the game honors. He went 4-4 with a double and 3 singles. After today's action, Phoenix sits at 41-54, while Santa Barbara falls to 51-44.
It could have been a different outcome for Phoenix, had it not been for Jim Justice, the 25-year old center fielder . Justice contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the second inning to put Phoenix up, 2-0.
