Laurel Hits 2 home runs in Golden Cranes Win
|
The Santa Barbara Golden Cranes topped the Calgary Lynx by the score of 8-3, with the largest share of the credit going to right fielder Arsenio Laurel. Laurel slugged 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Golden Cranes. Santa Barbara is now 48-42, while Calgary is 40-50.
Laurel contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Santa Barbara in the top of the third. With his team trailing 3-2, Laurel took a slider from Lorenzo Díaz and stroked the home run to left. His 10th home run of the season allowed the Golden Cranes to leap in front, 6-3.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Laurel.
