Longnecks Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Tritons
Fans who gathered at Jersey City Grounds saw a good contest between the Bloomington Longnecks and Jersey City Tritons.

The Jersey City Tritons got a superb performance from pitcher Guldemunde Geilinger. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Bloomington. The Longnecks won the game, 6-4. In spite of the loss, Geilinger was named the player of the game. He threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball. Rex Negrete picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Juan Valdéz was tagged with the loss.

César Gómes made it 6-4 in favor of Bloomington when he delivered a 2-run double. It came with one out in the top of the eighth. The Longnecks went on to win.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Gómes.

The Longnecks raised their record to 45-44.
