Rocks Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
Getting a good performance from second baseman Chang-lit Min, the Plymouth Rocks defeated the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves, 7-3. Min went 4 for 4 with 4 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Rocks. Plymouth reliever José Rico picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-1. Ricardo Sánchez was collared with the loss. Plymouth leads the Premier AAA by 5˝ games.
Jeff Lawson's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth inning was a big one for Plymouth. Coming to bat with two out, a runner on 3rd and Plymouth trailing 3-2, the first baseman hit a run-scoring double.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Min told reporters after the game.
