Adams, Nobles Beat Golden Cranes, 6-4
|
The Bakersfield Nobles topped the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes by the score of 6-4, with the biggest share of the credit going to left fielder Ed Adams. Adams went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Nobles on the day. Bakersfield currently is in second place in the Premier AAA at 36-22.
Terry Armstrong had a big 2-run double for the Nobles in the bottom of the third inning. With Bakersfield trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a curveball from Yoriyoshi Yoshimura and stroked the double to right. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Nobles ahead, 2-1.
"It feels good to get this one," Adams told the Bakersfield Daily.
