González Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Baltimore in Walk-Off Win
|
With first baseman Carlos González leading the charge, the Baltimore Black Sox defeated the Scranton Supernovas, 5-4, at Constellation Ballpark. González went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win puts the Black Sox at 26-22, while the Supernovas drop to 21-27.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Baltimore trailing 4-3, González hit a changeup from Malulani Anakone for a 2-run home run, giving the Black Sox the walk-off win.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Baltimore manager Marcus Terry.
