Noonan Shines in Fighting Dachsunds Win
|
Ellenburg first baseman Shelby Noonan was a significant contributor in his team's 8-0 triumph over the Bakersfield Nobles. He was 2 for 3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for Ellenburg. Rust Cohle, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with no runs on 4 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 6. His record now stands at 1-4. The Fighting Dachsunds now have a mark of 10-16.
Noonan had an important at-bat with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the bottom of the third, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Fighting Dachsunds went on to win.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Bakersfield manager Elliott Taylor.
