Pontojá No-Hits Black Sox
|
It was the game that pitchers dream about: the no-hitter.
It happened today at Nuclear Stadium. Gilberto Pontojá of the Scranton Supernovas was right on target against the Baltimore Black Sox in a 1-0 victory. Pontojá zeroed in on them, holding them hitless with 7 strikeouts and 3 walks.
"I just had it all today," Pontojá told BNN reporters after the game. "Very good stuff and great location. That is a combination that's hard to beat."
To date this year, Pontojá shows a 4-2 record, 6 starts, 43 innings, 31 strikeouts and a 3.35 ERA.
