|
A 6-RBI performance from center fielder Martín Talia, who is tied for 4th in the PAAA with a .578 slugging percentage, led the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves to a 13-2 win over the Scranton Supernovas. Jorge Cruzan got the win, improving to 1-1. He held the Supernovas to no earned runs on 6 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 1. With the win, Phoenix has a record of 10-11. Scranton falls to 9-12.
The result might have been different for Phoenix, had it not been for Jesús Álvarez. The shortstop produced a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth inning to put the Hotspur Reserves ahead, 3-0. For the game, Álvarez had 1 double and 3 singles in 5 at-bats.
